The Level 6 Diploma in Strategic Business Management offers a variety of optional units along with a core unit, Strategic Business Management, so you can tailor your studies to the skills you want to develop.

The Strategic Business Management core unit provides learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to successfully work within a business management role. Upon completing this unit, learners will have an understanding of the impact of effective business management on the growth and development of a business. 

Indicative content includes:

  • Be able to evaluate how a business operates within its internal and external environment 
  • Understand how a business operates a marketing system
  • Be able to interpret the information contained within financial documentation

To achieve the Level 6 Diploma you need to complete a minimum of 40 credits. Every unit has a credit value assigned to it. Your core unit, Strategic Business Management, provides 15 of the credits you need. This means you can select units from the extensive list below to provide you with the remaining 25 credits required to achieve your qualification.

Strategic International Freight Management

This unit allows the student to obtain an understanding of international freight management.

It shows the historical development of the different modes of transport into the modern global supply network. It covers the physical flows and processes required to move products and the advantages and disadvantages of each mode of transportation, along with the operational equipment used within the supply chain. It covers the legislative requirements for each of the modes of transport when moving freight across borders. It covers the international control bodies for each mode, freight forwarding, 3PLs and strategic warehouse placement This unit will allow the learner to

  • Understand the contribution of the ISO Container to International Trade
  • Be able to analyse the legislative requirements for the International Movement of Freight

Strategic Inventory Management

This unit focuses on the importance of Strategies in effective Inventory Management in an organisation. The unit provides expert practices in Inventory management, including:
