The Strategic and Quality Advisory Board is a group of impartial training, education and industry experts, representing the needs of the wider industry and dedicated to ensuring IoSCM's services are of the highest standard.

Philip Chaganis OBE, Chairman

A retired colonel, after a long and illustrious career in logistics with the British Army, Philip was awarded an OBE for his leadership during the first Gulf War. Since leaving the military, Philip has designed and delivered training to senior managers across a range of industries and spent three years as the logistics director of The Logistics Academy in Abu Dhabi. A truly innovative and established thought leader within logistics and supply chain management, our Chairman has long inspired professionals all over the world.

Kevin Rumfitt, Founder & CEO

As Founder and CEO of the Institute of Supply Chain Management, Kevin is passionate about using his remarkable 30 year career to enhance businesses and evolve careers, ultimately improving the supply chain as a whole. Having transformed some of the UK’s largest organisations during his time as an established consultant, Kevin has a sound understanding of the industry and the demands of the employees within it. He began his career as a fork lift driver and worked his way up to being employed in many senior management and high-profile positions, most recently assisting in the design and delivery of training for the UAE Government.

Ruth Lowbridge MBE, Board Advisor

Ruth is the Executive Chair of SFEDI Group as well as being an established business consultant, trainer and developer with extensive experience in both public and private sector companies. Having been awarded an MBE for her services to entrepreneurs and UK businesses, Ruth is a valued and significant addition to the board.

THE ROLE OF THE BOARD

 

The Strategic and Quality Advisory Board’s role is to support IoSCM, providing counsel in the development and delivery of their services, governing the strategic direction and monitoring the quality and performance of the institute.

The board aims to meet at least twice every year and is consulted on a range of strategic decisions such as ensuring the structure, processes and operations within the institute are ethical and efficient so that we can continue to meet the aims of IoSCM.
